Rick and Morty - Season 4 - Review

This show just became an Emmy award winner and it seems like it will stick around for a little longer. Good for us, Rick and Morty fans, who spent years waiting for a new season to come out. But the writers and creators of the show did not let us down at all so far.

The first season of Rick and Morty was really entertaining, the second was even better and, the third season was just outstanding. Rick and Morty is a Sci-Fi series that showcases real-life problems and discusses the sad reality of our generation with great irony and an awesome sense of humor.

The first episode of this season is a typical Rick and Morty episode but with a twist. It starts with Rick and the rest of the family sitting at the dinner table; now that Jerry is back, they seem to be more stable than before.

They ask him a question but Jerry answers in a very bizarre way only to wake up and admit that he has an auto responsive chip inside him so he can avoid spending time with the family.

As he gets up and asks Morty to go with him to the lab, Beth stops him and demands that he does what they have agreed on previously, which is to ask Morty first and not force these things on him.

Therefore, the power control issues that took place last season did make some changes around the house, not enough changes though.

Rick also dies this season a little after he takes Morty to this planet where he discovers Death Crystals, (Crystals that show you your death) and tries to tell Morty not to give it much attention, but Morty gets obsessed with that thing and spends the whole episode trying to get to a path where he dies with Jessica (his high-school crush).

Morty is responsible for Rick’s death and avoids many chances to bring him back to life, which is hilarious to see.

The season has a lot of fan theories and episodes, some of my favorites were the one where we find out that Rick is a shy pooper and that he has his own planet just to poop! Unfortunately, someone invades it, and he finds out he has not been pooping alone in that planet, off to find out who did it presented a chance for Rick to make a friend.

There’s also an episode where Rick brings this alien to his Daughter’s house and the aliens have the sentence “Do Not Build App” on its forehead but keep asking everyone if they want to build one. Even though Rick asks them not, Jerry goes ahead and builds an App with the alien. Turns out it’s a brilliant, yet bizarre dating app created by aliens who want to invade our planet and take our water. It was pretty funny.

This season has a lot of entertaining things, like Snack Monologues and Snake Jazz, as well as Dragon Sluts and soul orgies. It’s not their best season, but it’s very entertaining and classic Rick and Morty material. You will not regret this!
